    Did this one in a painful 12:13 this morning. My heart rate monitor had my pulse up to 178 bpm whihc is in the 95% range fr my age. I’ll see everyone Friday.

    i’m not going to lie…this was a tough one for me today…(yeah, like ANY are EVER easy!!)…

    15 and change today. ugh.

    …why this isn’t named, i have no idea…but, if it were up to me, i’d call it “kick in the junk”…or, “punch in the face” :-)

    A little less heat and humidity today here in Illinois. Rea and I knocked out a WOD at around 10 am.

    WOD:
    10 Rounds of Run 1 minute / Walk 1 minute
    10 minute rest
    21, 15, 9 couplet of burpees and kettlebell swings (m=1 pood/w= 10lbs)

    Results: M/35/223/5′9
    7:07
    -Again, I’ll use the excuse that I was coaching… we ended up scaling Rea’s WOD about halfway through. It wasn’t TOO humid, but, we were definitely sweating afterwards. Probably head to the YMCA later to do some Oly work (since I sweet talked the girl into giving me a free week’s membership).

    DOC, so you got a free membership….What are you going to do when they kick you out for “doing that CrossFit stuff”.
    LOL. DOC will be able to send us one of those pics like on the main site that say “NO CROSSFIT ALLOWED HERE”

    Way to ruin it for everyone in Illinois, DOC.

  • Jamie, I had no idea how long this WOD would take but it worked out very well. Except maybe for Jason, I had no idea he got kicked in the junk. Doc it’s good to see Rea is hitting Crossfit so soon! Tell her to keep up the good work and you quit exercising your pimp like qualities to get a free pass(ha,ha,ha).

    Hit “The Y” at about 1945 for some OLY work this evening (WOD#2). Not worried about getting kicked out… I noticed on one of the whiteboards that there is a CrossFit group that meets in the AM… way too early for me though: I am on vacation, after all.

    WOD#2:
    Overhead Squats 5-5-5-5-5 + Power Snatchs 3-3-3-3-3

    Results:
    OHS; 115-135-155-185-205(3)
    PS; 95-115-135-155-quit

    -Only managed 3 reps with 205 on the last OHS set… legs are fried from running and yesterday’s Front Squats. I was surprised by how tired I was at the fourth set of Power Snatches, so, I called it a day. I did run and do a METCON this morning, after all.
